Piston rock splitter description
Rock splitter is a tool used to split rocks. The basic principle of Rock splitter is to use the huge pressure generated by the plunger device to break the rock into a predetermined shape and size. Rock splitter has a wide range of applications in construction, mining and stone processing.
The Rock splitter consists of a hollow steel pipe with a piston and plunger placed inside. When working, the Rock splitter forces the plunger down into the rock fissure through the lever on the handle. As the Rock splitter plunger moves down, the inner piston moves down with it, creating tremendous pressure. When the pressure reaches a certain level, the rock will fracture, so as to achieve the splitting of the rock.

1. Drill holes in the rock.
In general, crawler DTH drilling and dig and change drilling use more bits, which need to be matched according to the selected split rod type (150 split rod matches 155mm bit, 180 split rod needs 185mm bit). The hole spacing and hole depth can be operated according to the Piston rock splitter parameters.
2. Put the Piston rock splitter into the hole for splitting.
After the number of holes are arranged, put the Piston rock splitter into the hole as completely as possible. Then by controlling the diesel hydraulic pump station for splitting, usually one minute can be divided, after the splitting, by controlling the diesel hydraulic pump station to fully recover the Piston rock splitter plunger and take it out, the whole splitting process is over.
